Make a key copy that is worth keeping
A duplicate made from a badly worn copy may inherit the same trouble. For Greenacres customers seeking spare house keys, use the cleanest working original you have and explain if it already sticks or needs to be jiggled.
A useful detail before you book
After receiving a spare, test it with the door open before relying on it as your only way inside. Mark which lock it belongs to without attaching your full home address to the key ring.
Should I copy a key that is cracked?
Bring it for assessment, but avoid relying on a damaged key. Its condition may affect whether an accurate duplicate can be made.
