Rekey or replace: start with two questions
First, do you want to change who has access? Second, does the hardware work properly? Rekeying can change which key opens a compatible cylinder. Replacement changes the hardware. A worn latch or binding door may need attention even after key access changes.
Make a door list and check each lock with the door open. Note missing keys, loose parts and any door that must be pushed or lifted to lock. Share those observations before choosing a service.
What to tell us when you lose a car key
